Yellow
fever is a virus transmitted by infected mosquitoes.
The areas of risk include parts of South America
and Africa. Using insect repellents and being
vaccinated against yellow fever are important
ways to protect against infection. You may
be required*
to show proof of yellow fever vaccination upon
entering certain countries. It is important to
know that the vaccination may also be recommended*
for your protection on other itineraries.
Our
travel health experts take special care to make
sure that you receive this vaccination if it is
important for your protection and/or if it is
a country entry requirement. In some cases we
may recommend a waiver certificate and letter
for individuals who should not be vaccinated due
to certain pre-existing conditions.
*IMPORTANT
- If yellow fever vaccine is recommended or required
for your destination(s), please be aware that
there are other health risks and concerns associated
with these travel destinations. Are you aware
of and prepared for the other health risks of
your trip? We strongly recommend that all travelers
schedule to have a complete pretravel
consultation
for the most thorough advice and preparation.
