The staff of Traveler's Medical Service has lived, worked and traveled in the developing world. Their professional training, experience and institutional affiliations uniquely qualify them to provide comprehensive health care services to international travelers.

 

Medical Director, New York, NY

Alberto M. Acosta, M.D., Ph.D. is on the staff of The New York Hospital and is on the faculty of Cornell University Medical College. Dr. Acosta received his M.D. from Cornell University Medical College and a Ph.D. in Tropical Medicine and Parasitology from Cornell University Graduate School of Medical Sciences. He is the recipient of several national research awards for his work on tropical diseases.

Medical Director, Washington, D.C.

Martin S. Wolfe, M.D. is an internationally recognized tropical medicine specialist. He received his M.D. from Cornell University Medical College and a Diploma in Clinical Medicine of the Tropics from The London School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene. Dr. Wolfe is Director of Traveler's Medical Service of Washington and tropical medicine consultant to the Department of State, the Peace Corps and many private corporations. He holds faculty positions at George Washington University and Georgetown Medical Schools.

Executive Director

Rebecca W. Acosta R.N., M.P.H. received a B.S. in Nursing from the University of Rochester and a Master of Public Health degree in International Health and Health Education from The Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health. She has extensive experience in ambulatory care and was formerly Associate Nurse Manager of Traveler's Medical Service of Washington.
