Traveler's Medical Service of NY

Dyan Summers MPH, NP-C

Dyan Summers, MPH, NP-C joined Traveler's Medical Service in 2006. She received a Master in Nursing and International Public Health from Columbia University. Prior to joining Traveler's Medical Service, Dyan worked in infectious diseases and continues to provide clinical health care with the Visiting Nurse Service (VNS) of New York. Dyan became interested in international health during volunteer work in Nicaragua. She has continued to travel extensively in the developing world and has volunteered for multiple international health care projects. She founded HealthShare International, a non-profit organization based in the upper Amazon region of Venezuela, whose goal is to bring additional health resources to the local population. She received a Certificate in Knowledge in Tropical Medicine from Johns Hopkins University and a Certificate of Knowledge in Travel Health (CTH®) from the International Society of Travel Medicine.
