Augusto emigrated to the U.S. from Peru at the age of 18. He attended George Mason University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2011. Following graduation, Augusto secured his first job with Georgetown Hospital where he worked for 6 years and served in different roles including that of Nurse Manager for the Division of Infectious Diseases and Travel Medicine. Augusto discovered his passion for travel medicine during his tenure at Georgetown Hospital. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in nursing at Georgetown University with a goal of becoming a family nurse practitioner with a specialty in travel medicine.
